The Public Works Department is responsible for all city utility and street needs, whether it is installation or repair.

The City purchases electricity from GEXA Energy.   In the calendar year 2017, the City purchased a total of 731,966-kilowatt hours.

The total cost of electricity purchased by the City in the calendar year 2017 is $124,451.

Bert Dowlen, Code Enforcement Officer –

The Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for Ordinance violations such as high grass, junked vehicles, dangerous buildings, and accumulation of trash or junk. Complaints have to be made in writing for the Officer to open or start a case. This can be done at City Hall.
